When you have full or partial hook-ups, you can plug the RV in to the campsite. It’s fairly simple and it means you have access to all the amenities you need with very little hassle. Here’s how you do it:

  1. Plug the surge protector into the campground electric box (Note: Need a 30 amp plug-in at your campground)
  2. Plug the RV electric cord into the surge protector
  3. Flip the campground power on
  4. Wait 2-5 minutes for the surge protector to detect errors and/or respond to the power supply. You should be good to go with an E0 code (see below if power doesn’t fire up or you see something other than E0)
  5. Check the microwave to see if power is on, if so, you now have power to the RV via the 30amp power supply

If there’s no power

  1. Check the error code on the surge protector
  2. Make sure the 30amp circuit breaker is on
  3. Make sure more than 5 min have passed

If there’s a code other than E0

  1. Call a ranger or campground host to talk about the power connection and follow his/her recommendation
  2. Change campsite and try again
  3. Call LPB support at 760-529-2080 to talk through options
